Battery Capacity Testers

The Alfabat and Alfabat Pro are invaluable service tools to determine the state of health of your wet, gel and agm batteries.

In the case of valve regulated lead-acid batteries (gel and agm) voltmeter readings can only give you state of charge information.

Simple carbon pile load testers can give false positive and false negative results on deep cycle batteries.

The Alfabats put a high frequency switched load on the batteries and monitor voltage behavior during a full discharge of the battery. They return a numeric capacity value as a percentage of rated cap acity. Only with this information do you know the true state of health of the battery or how much work it can do.

The Alfabats are loaded with advanced features such as automatic cycling to help recover underperforming batteries. It can also be used to monitor charger performance.

The Alfabat will test batteries up to 100Ah (C20).

The Alfabat Pro will test batteries up to 400Ah (C20).
