To test deep cycle batteries, you need to discharge
them. This will tell you the available capacity of the
battery. This is critical when dealing with battery
service issues.
Alfabat units work by discharging the battery and
monitoring and recording the voltage and current over
time. This allows the device to provide an actual
capacity of the battery. The microprocessor control
and built-in algorithms will also tell you if the battery is
bad or simply needs recharging.
The Alfabat works on 6V, 8V and 12V batteries.
In addition the Alfabat can be used to:
- automatically cycle test a battery
- test a 12, 24, 36 or 48V charger
- automatically make battery Peukert value calculations
Once a test is completed and you connect to your PC,
the BITS software allows you to print out professional
test reports.
